Las Vegas South Premium Outlets: The Ultimate Shopping Guide

Published on

Shopping in Las Vegas can be an overwhelming, overpriced experience if you stick strictly to the Strip. As someone who visits often with my family, I always skip the high-end boutique window-shopping and head straight to the Las Vegas South Premium Outlets.

Here is my breakdown of why this specific outlet mall is a must-visit, and exactly what you should buy when you get there.

Is the South Premium Outlets better than the North Outlets?

Yes, because it is 100% indoors.

During the blistering Nevada summer, the North Premium Outlets (which are outdoors) feel like walking on the surface of the sun. The South Premium Outlets are completely enclosed and beautifully air-conditioned. You can shop for hours in total comfort without worrying about heat exhaustion.

What are the best deals for sports and outdoor wear?

The Nike Clearance Store and the Columbia Factory Store.

If you are a golfer or just need athletic wear, make a beeline for the Nike Clearance Store. It is massive, and you can regularly find incredible deals on golf polos, running shoes, and gym gear that are much cheaper than standard Nike Outlet stores.

For outdoor gear, the Columbia Factory Store is my absolute favorite hidden gem. Their discounts are usually spectacular—for example, it is very common to find high-quality, moisture-wicking Columbia T-shirts for under $10. It’s the best place to stock up for summer.

Does it have luxury brands?

Yes, it excels at “entry-level” luxury.

While you won’t find Chanel or Gucci here (you have to go to the Strip for those), the South Outlets have fantastic deals on premium brands. You will find massive stores for COACH and Michael Kors, making it the perfect place to grab a high-quality designer bag or wallet without taking out a second mortgage.

Where is the best place to buy authentic cowboy boots?

The Boot Factory Outlet.

If you are visiting Vegas and want to embrace the Western cowboy style (especially if you are in town for the National Finals Rodeo), do not buy overpriced boots on the Strip. The Boot Factory Outlet here has an incredible “Buy 1 Pair, Get 2 Pairs Free” style promotion that they run frequently. It is hands-down the best place in the city to get high-quality, authentic cowboy boots without getting ripped off.

Is there anything new worth checking out?

Yes, Miniso and American Eagle just opened.

The mall is constantly refreshing its directory. Recently, they added a brand new Miniso (which is incredibly popular for cute, affordable lifestyle products and plushies) as well as an American Eagle store.

What if my kids get bored of shopping?

Drop them off at Round1 Entertainment.

Shopping with kids can be a nightmare, but the addition of the Round1 Arcade solves this completely. My 12-year-old daughter absolutely loves it there. It is packed with exclusive Japanese arcade games, claw machines, and bowling. I have found that spending $50 on an arcade card usually allows us to have hours of fun and gives everyone a much-needed break from walking.

Where is the best place to stay nearby to save money?

The Hilton Garden Inn or Hampton Inn.

The South Outlets are incredibly close to the airport and located just a few minutes south of the main Strip. If you want to save a ton of money, look into the Hilton Garden Inn Las Vegas Strip South or the Hampton Inn Las Vegas Strip South.

Why? Because they do not charge resort fees. You are still right next to the action, but you aren’t being scammed by hidden daily charges. (If you want to know more about how bad these fees are getting, read my guide on The Brutal Truth About Vegas Resort Fees (And How to Avoid Them)).

Local’s Tip: The Ultimate Post-Shopping Dessert

If you need a sugar rush after all that walking, don’t settle for the standard food court sweets. Just a very short walk from the outlets is a Crumbl Cookies store. As a local, grabbing one of their massive, warm, weekly-rotating specialty cookies is my absolute favorite way to reward the family after a successful shopping trip. It’s the perfect Vegas dessert hack that most tourists completely miss.

Final Verdict: For comfortable, indoor bargain hunting with top-tier brands and actual family entertainment, Las Vegas South Premium Outlets simply cannot be beaten.
