5 Best Cheap Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip (2026 Deals & Reviews)
Las Vegas can be expensive, but your hotel room doesn’t have to be. If you’re looking to spend your vacation budget on world-class dining, shows, and casinos rather than a place to sleep, you are in luck. There are still fantastic, affordable options right in the heart of the action. (If you are looking for even cheaper options or massive suites just off the Strip, check out our Rio Las Vegas Review or our guide to Cheap Hotels in Downtown Las Vegas!)
WARNING
Watch Out For Resort Fees! When booking a budget hotel in Las Vegas, always check the mandatory daily “resort fee” before paying. A room advertised at $35/night might have a $45/night resort fee attached to it, doubling your actual cost. Always calculate your budget based on the final checkout price!
Here is a breakdown of the top 5 budget-friendly hotels on the Las Vegas Strip for 2026, and exactly why you should choose each one based on your travel style.
1. The LINQ: Best Center-Strip Location
Located right in the center of the Strip, The LINQ is arguably the best value in Las Vegas for the price. It caters to a younger crowd and features modern, compact rooms. Step outside, and you are immediately on the LINQ Promenade, surrounded by cheap eats, bars, and the High Roller observation wheel. You literally cannot beat this location without spending triple the money.
2. Flamingo Las Vegas: The Best Budget Pool
The Flamingo is a classic. While the building is older, many of the rooms have been beautifully renovated. But the real reason you stay here is the pool. It boasts one of the best pool complexes on the Strip (the GO Pool) and a free wildlife habitat. Its center-Strip location next to Caesars Palace makes it unbeatable if your main goal is to lounge by a fantastic pool on a budget. Read our full 2026 Flamingo Las Vegas Review here.
3. Horseshoe Las Vegas: Largest Rooms for the Price
Horseshoe (formerly Bally’s) is perfect if you want large rooms on a small budget. The standard rooms here are significantly more spacious than competitors in the exact same price bracket. It’s also connected to Paris Las Vegas, giving you easy, indoor access to premium dining while still paying those coveted budget rates. Read our full 2026 Horseshoe Las Vegas Review here.
4. Excalibur: Best Budget Option for Families
If you are traveling with family, the castle-themed Excalibur on the south end of the Strip is a staple. It is incredibly affordable and features a massive arcade to keep the kids entertained. It is also connected by free air-conditioned trams to Mandalay Bay and Luxor, making it very easy to move around the south end of the Strip without making the kids walk in the heat.
5. Treasure Island (TI): Best Overall Value & Free Parking
Treasure Island is the ultimate hidden gem for budget travelers. Not only does it offer fantastic rates right across from the Wynn, but it is one of the only remaining hotels on the Strip that offers completely free parking.
If you enjoy shopping, this is the best spot for you. It is located right next to the massive Fashion Show Las Vegas mall. It is the perfect home base. To see why this is my absolute favorite budget option, check out my Treasure Island: The Ultimate Insider’s Guide.
